New markets for insecticulture derivatives
The silkworm can be used to obtain new products. A supply chain linked to the silkworm already exists in Italy and will be expanded thanks to the activity carried out by the operating group on sericulture formed in the Veneto region thanks to the Serinnovation project (measure cooperation). The silkworm proves to be a model for the circular economy and the transfer of research and innovation, with technologies that can be advantageously applied to other insects as well.
